UNCOVER WHAT TRULY MATTERS ♥ LIVE THE LIFE YOU DESERVE

The shock, anger, denial & confusion, anxiety of the diagnosis is just the beginning. Then comes an avalanche of treatment options, good intention suggestions by family & friends, doubts about what to eat, self-image, family/ job rearrangements and many more concerns will add to the already complicated emotional roller coaster.

Road to recovery post-treatment can also be as challenging as the initial diagnosis, as you start to explore meaningfulness in your new post-cancer life.

Many of the cancer survivors Tricia worked with describe a drop in self-esteem, feelings of isolation, and difficulty with decision making after treatment has ended.

They often feel pressure to get back to “normal” life while still coming to terms  with the new normal of life after cancer. Plunging back into work and social responsibilities & relationships can feel overwhelming when you are still healing the mind, body and spirit.

Physical Cancer

Have you ever had someone whom you just simply cannot forgive and hate?

A strong negative emotion connected to a person or event which has been circling in your mind for years?

Does your heart feel heavy or flare up whenever an incident or person is mentioned?

Do you live in fear that something bad might happen?

These are what Tricia refers to as Emotional and Mental “Cancers”. They are not detectable by any machines or can be operated out like a physical cancer. However, it is important to find out how to get it out of your system before it spreads into your daily life and have adverse effects on your health and quality of life.

Many of the patients with physical cancer have had emotional and mental cancers brewing inside them, affecting their well being and ultimately, manifested into physical cancers.

Emotional and Mental Cancer
Why specifically for women?

Some of the cancers that most often affect women are breast, colon, endometrial, lung, cervical, skin, and ovarian cancers. Women have a self-sacrificing tendency to put others needs ahead of their own.

With their roles as mothers, daughters, wives, professionals, many neglect their physical as well as emotional immune system. It is therefore very important to help women recognise the importance of self-care and self-love.
